This movie was so great, saw it on netflix last night.

And her friendship with "the savages" is frowned upon by the local people - she's rumored to have "witch's powers" because she uses the shaman's remedies for healing the sick."

Some customers weren't too fond with it, but I loved it, when I expected it to be kinda boring and bad. The battle isn't mentioned too much, or focused on until the attack kills one of their own as they are right there for an attack. But then again, the story isn't about the war, it's just one of the many obstacles that Marie-Loup and Francois have. The story is about a mother doing anything for those she loves, especially her daughter, and also about their love. The story ends tragically for the lovers, unfortunately and I'll admit, I cried.
Just make sure you pay attention to the movie! Otherwise you may just miss some crucial stuff.
